Frequently asked questions
Questions? We've got answers.
Everything you need to know before your first mobile groom — and a few things you didn't know you needed to ask.
How it works
How does mobile dog grooming work?
We come to your home in a fully self-contained Sprinter van. The van has its own fresh water supply, power, and all professional grooming equipment. Your dog gets groomed right in your driveway — no drop-offs, no other dogs, no kennel waiting.
Do I need to provide anything?
No. Our van is completely self-sufficient. We don't need access to your hose, electricity, or any part of your home. Just your dog.
Do I need to be home the whole time?
Someone 18+ must be present at the start to hand off your dog and at the end to receive them. During the groom, you're free to go about your day inside.
How long does a groom take?
It depends on the service and your dog's breed and coat. A bath & brush for a small dog might be 45 minutes. A full groom on a large doodle might take 2.5 hours. We give you a time estimate when we confirm your appointment.
Will my dog be alone in the van?
Your dog is never left unattended. Our groomer is with them from start to finish — that's the whole point of mobile grooming. No cages, no waiting rooms, no kennels.
Booking & scheduling
How far in advance do I need to book?
We typically have openings within the same week for most of our service area. Concord and Kannapolis often have 2–3 day availability. Call us or submit the online form and we'll check the current schedule.
What are your hours?
We operate Monday through Saturday, 8am to 6pm. We don't take Sunday appointments.
What's the cancellation policy?
We ask for 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule without a fee. Life happens — just let us know as soon as possible and we'll work with you.
How do I rebook?
Call us directly or submit the contact form again. Regular customers who want consistent 4–6 week scheduling can ask us about standing appointment slots.
Pricing & payment
How much does it cost?
We quote based on your dog's breed, size, coat condition, and the service you want. We give you a price before we start — no surprises at pickup.
Do you charge extra for matting?
If your dog has significant matting that will require extra time, we'll tell you before we begin and quote the additional cost. We never apply mat fees without telling you first.
Is there a travel fee?
No. We don't add mileage or fuel surcharges. Travel is built into our pricing.
How do I pay?
Cash, check, or most major credit/debit cards. Payment is collected at the end of the appointment.
Your dog
My dog is anxious. Can you still help?
Anxious dogs are actually one of the biggest reasons people switch to mobile grooming. No car ride, no other dogs, no kennel, no strange smells — just your dog and one calm groomer in a quiet van. We also practice low-stress handling techniques.
Can you groom senior dogs?
Yes. Senior dogs often struggle with long car rides and loud salon environments. Mobile grooming is especially good for them — calm, quiet, and we work at their pace.
Do you do puppy first grooms?
Yes. We have a specific puppy groom service for dogs 8 weeks and older. The focus is on positive experience first — getting them comfortable with the process — not on the haircut. We want their first groom to set them up for a lifetime of calm grooming.
My dog has never been groomed before. Is that OK?
Totally fine. Let us know when you call and we'll plan accordingly. First grooms usually take a bit more time and patience, which we're happy to give.
Do you groom cats?
We specialize in dogs only. We don't groom cats at this time.
What breeds do you groom?
All breeds. From toy breeds like Yorkies and Chihuahuas to large breeds like Great Pyrenees and Bernese Mountain Dogs. Double coats, curly coats, smooth coats — we have the tools and training for all of them.
Service area
Where do you operate?
We serve North Charlotte and surrounding areas — Concord, Kannapolis, Harrisburg, Huntersville, Davidson, Mooresville, Cornelius, Mint Hill, Matthews, and Indian Trail. If you're unsure, submit your zip code on the contact form and we'll confirm.
Do you serve Charlotte proper?
Our core service area is North Charlotte and Cabarrus County. For addresses within the city of Charlotte, it depends on the specific neighborhood. Give us a call or submit your address and we'll let you know.
What if I'm just outside your area?
Give us a call. Depending on the day's route and your location, we may be able to accommodate you. We can't guarantee it, but it's worth asking.
Still have questions?
The fastest way to get an answer is to call. We pick up Mon–Sat 8am–6pm.
